Career Development

Achmea Academy provides continual training and education. It also facilitates knowledge and expertise exchange, which is essential in any knowledge-intensive industry. This includes dedicated business schools that focus on specific disciplines, such as marketing, HR and finance, alongside programmes for actuaries.

For managers, we provide an extensive range of leadership and accelerated learning programmes. The Achmea Management Development Programme trains young, ambitious managers. Meanwhile, our Management Development programme has reviewed and profiled every manager and specialist in the top 1,600, generating an Individual Development Path for all. In addition, our award-winning International Management Traineeship programme offers international opportunities for ambitious starters with a background in general or financial management.

Achmea’s employees are a key stakeholder group in our cooperative structure. They are represented at the highest levels of our organisation through local Works’ Councils and the Central Works’ Council.
